About the Artist

Hey there! It’s nice to meet you.

My name is Sally, and I was born and raised in northern Illinois.  I went to college in Minnesota where I got my BFA in photography, specializing in portraiture, and now I live in southern Georgia! I love to travel, and I visit my friends and family in Southern California, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Illinois, and more whenever I get the chance.

Most days you can find me buried deep in the middle of whatever project I’m working on at the moment. My focus shifts all the time, so while I might spend one day sewing embroidery until my fingers are numb, I might spend the next day wandering the woods with my camera, or creating jewelry with my stash of hand-dyed lace, or maybe just writing.

I love to create. I love to make beautiful things out of nothing. My goal with this blog is to share some of my creations with the world, and hopefully inspire others out there to create their own beautiful things because, let’s be real, the world can always use more beautiful things.

When I’m not working on one of my many projects, you can find me hanging out with my family, both biological and found. I frequent area thrift shops to search for new treasures at least once a week. I also LOVE to play boardgames. Nuns on the Run, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Mysterium, and Ticket to Ride are some of my favorites, but I adore many more!

If you’re dying to know more about me, don’t hesitate to ask! Just click “contact” up there at the top and send me a note. I’m so happy you’re here, and I would love to get to know you as well.

You can also sign up for my newsletter, which I try to send out twice monthly with shop updates.  As a subscriber, you’ll get an early peek at new products coming to my shop, as well as a list of flea markets and art fairs where I’ll be setting up.  Hope I see you there!
